Security, stability among top priorities of new security leaders

CAIRO – 1 August 2018: Egypt’s Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq ordered Tuesday the new security chiefs to achieve the highest degree of security for Egyptians.

The new security chief of Beheira governorate, Gamal al-Din Ibrahim, told Egypt Today that he will execute all the ministry s decisions on security and that he is always ready to solve the citizens problems.

Ibrahim clarified that Beheira governorate is one of the biggest governorates in E hence, it is necessary to intensify campaigns to control outlaws as well as infringements on state lands.

Ahmed Amin, security chief of South Sinai, said that he aims to achieve security in the governorate to attract more investments and revive tourism.

On Monday, the minister of interior ordered limited changes in the top echelons of the leadership of the ministry s sectors as part of an inter-ministry reshuffle and reassignment, the state news agency reported.

The ministry announced the names of 61 leaders appointed to top positions in various sectors and departments.

Security sources revealed that the reshuffle included the replacement of batches of 1980 and 1981 by batches of 1983 and 1984 to take the posts of security managers, while the batch of 1987 was promoted to the rank of brigadier general.

The social conditions and humanitarian dimension were taken into consideration in the reshuffle to help officers carry out their duties efficiently.
